Internet Marketing - The Two Faces of FREE

‘FREE’ is the reason people are successful, and make a fortune marketing on the internet, yet ‘FREE’ is also the reason 90% of people fail miserably!

It is all to do with your approach to your business and your careful use of ‘FREE’ things.

You will never make any money placing your own ads on other people’s FREE classified sites and/or FFA links, even if you have submission software.

And you will never make money with just a FREE self replicating website.

This is the point when most people give up. But you must realise that you will never become rich for FREE.

You must invest initially in a professionally designed webpage/site and place links to your programs. You will then be able to promote your own unique website, and people can click on your programs once they visit you, and see everything you are offering.

Mix up the programs you are promoting on your website. Some can be FREE, but others should have cost you something to start up. If you introduce a thousand people for example, and all of you just get a FREE self replicating website, then no one makes any money!

Once you have a good professional looking website set up, and you have a reasonable advertising budget to work with, which you know you can comfortably afford to spend each week, then you are ready to exploit the other side of FREE!

It is your customers, and potential customers, who need to be given FREE things.

Don’t make the mistake of thinking that customers are sitting at their computer screens, with their mouse in one hand and their credit cards in the other, surfing the net to spend their hard earned cash on anything or everything they see.

You have to earn your customers respect to get money from them, and the best way to earn respect from a customer is to give them something for FREE.

To get them to sign up for your newsletter or ezine then offer them lots of FREEBIES.

There are now so many ezines around that they need to have a reason to subscribe to yours.

And keep them subscribing! I offer new daily FREE software and FREE E-books to all my own subscribers.

Even more important is to offer FREE things on your website to get your visitors there in the first place.

Placing an ad that reads ‘Buy this amazing widget at my site…’ will attract just a fraction of the visitors that an ad reading, ‘View details of this amazing widget and get FREE entry into our $25,000 weekly drawing, FREE software, FREE ebooks and FREE grocery vouchers worth hundreds of dollars!….’

Yet all of these Freebies, and thousands more can be found quite easily by yourself by surfing all of the FREE sites, and collecting what you think will be suitable for your own visitors.(Just type in the word ‘FREE’ into any search engine for a huge list of sites.)

Also visit lotto and competition sites for suitable FREE games you can include on your site.

Also offer even more Freebies as an incentive for your customers to buy products from you. For example, ‘Buy this widget from me by midnight tonight and I will also give you 10 FREE adverts in our ezine.’

And apart from giving away FREE ads in your ezine, also have a FREE classified ads section on your own website where people can place their ads. Again you will find them flocking to your site to do this.

So there you have the two faces of FREE, one is ugly and one is beautiful!

To ensure success just make sure that you know which face is which!

Ultimate Internet Marketing for Beginners

Regardless of how well established an online company is, I guarantee they will still frequently deploy these startegies.

Why?

Because they work!

There is a simple and obvious rule that applies to all websites, “The more people that visit your site, the more money you make.” Whether that be via product sales, services, advertising etc.

Here are my top 3 tips, you will note that they are all completely free.

1) Linking: Search engines and directories.

The most obvious and generally the first thing any website owner should do is proceed to get their URL on to the top search engines, Yahoo and Google. The majority will leave it at that.

Furthermore you should be submitting to directories, the biggest being dmoz.org; however a quick search and their will be plenty more to choose from - some of which will surprise you by their popularity as you may not have heard of many of them.

You will find some sites that offer multiple submissions for you. One good example being addme.com.

Also, try and get some bloggers on side. There are a few blogs that get ridiculous amounts of traffic so linking with said blogs could be and invaluable source of traffic.

2) E-mailing: Marketing to sales.

Once you are established you will have an e-mailing list and you can send thousands of e-mails in a few seconds. Unfortunately if you’re reading this, then you are a bit off yet.

Use search engines and business directories to get a list of e-mails relevant to your business. A lot of websites now have a contact form as opposed to direct e-mail addresses, this is fine, just take a note of their URL.

Collecting the addresses is very boring and monotonous but a worthy cause.

Once you have a large list of e-mails (1000+) you can now start contacting potential clients. Before sending out the e-mails re-visit each site, you can tailor your sales pitch according to the site design and content.

Making it personal and individual reduces the chance of it being deemed as spam and immediately deleted.

If you receive negative replies assume this as an opportunity to close a sale, “Why should I advertise at your site?” - you tell them why and you tell them good.

Ultimately if you make no sales you will have at least had 1,000 new visitors to your site.

3) PR: It’s like a free full page advert!

You’d be amazed at what’s considered journalism these days. Don’t worry if you don’t know where to start, just get on your favorite search engine and input “Free PR Tips”. You will quickly understand what you need to do.

Just remember to make the headline as eye catching as possible, the whole balance on having your article published is whether or not the editor reads past the headliner.

Newspapers are always struggling for stories so make yours stand out from the crowd.

Remember to hit all the online news sites as well, however if you get a national newspaper to publish your story you will find the story will be on their site too. National papers of course get plenty of traffic to their site so you will have also created a golden link.

——————————————————————————————

Bonus Tip: Search for “Free Marketing Tips” on the major search engines. The majority of results will require you to subscribe to their newsletters, do so and you will receive plenty of excellent marketing tips in your e-mail.

Beware though these guys aren’t stupid, but neither or you. All these free tips they are giving you is eventually going to lead to them putting the sell hard on you. When this happens just subscribe to the next guys/gals newsletter.

With all these free tips you will eventually be able to compile a “killer Marketing Strategies” ebook yourself. And of course sell it for $99 per pop - that’s half the regular price!

Hope any of this helps.

Cheers.

Building a New Internet Marketing Business

The benefit of joining a great support forum for people who are starting out in the internet marketing business is priceless.
I spent a lot of time trying to find the magic system that would make me an instant success in the internet marketing business.
I thought that if I just had another 2,3 or 4 hundred dollars I could achieve success in internet marketing. (it didn’t happen and probably never would)

I found that more than 50 percent of these internet marketing products were good for only a couple of things:

1: Getting my money

2: Making someone else rich.

I found a free unlimited resource to tap into. Yes you heard right, FREE!
I had found a resource where I could ask questions and get real responses from successful internet marketers that were willing to help me solve my problems and share the ins and outs of how to be successful online.
Let me back up a bit. I got into internet marketing about 8 months ago and by good fortune met up with a few really great internet marketers that really enjoyed seeing other people succeed. They had a paying it forward type attitude. It was easy to see that they were so grateful for their success that they were willing to share it with others, with great joy.

The Gentlemen I am speaking of are Richard Driver, Michael Ambrosio and Dennis Wagoner. These men I must say went to great lengths to help me in so many ways and I wish to take this moment to thank them publicly. THANK YOU GENTLEMEN.

Which brings me to why I am writing this article? I am also so grateful for the successes in my life to their helping hands that I want to pay it forward by passing a tip onto you.
Please if you are new to internet marketing and you feel like you are drowning in the flood of hype that says “buy this and you will be rich” or “this is the answer to all your problems”
Take a moment and join a good internet marketing forum where you can ask “the Professionals” what they think about the products before you throw away you hard earned cash.

I would personally recommend this forum www.somewheresafetolearn.com as it is the newest a hottest forum to join for up to date information on how to be a successful internet marketer.
A great newsletter (GPN News) that I personally get alot of useful info from is http://mikeambrosio.com/blog/?p=80 . This is a must for all new marketing professionals.

I wish you the best of success and hope you have fun achieving it.

Best Regards
